Why Photography?

It is more important to click with people than to click the shutter.Alfred Eisenstaedt

I’m a born and raised San Diego native, which surprisingly seems to be an increasingly rare commodity these days. I’ve been blessed to have had the opportunity to do a lot of different things in my lifetime already, and I’d like to think that I lived each opportunity to its fullest. Oddly enough, my motto 15-20 years ago was to live each day as if it were my last, and I truly thought I did this, and did it well. In hindsight, there was so much more I could’ve done!

One of the things that I wished I had done was to acquire more artifacts, more tangible memories. Everywhere that I’ve traveled, all the things that I’ve done and all the people that I’ve met, they now live mostly in my memories. I lack the souvenirs in my study and the picture frames on my wall that trigger a flood of memories and emotions in me.

I created Fotility and Jerry Roxas Photography, in part, to allow me to create new, tangible memories for myself as well as others. Let’s share some moments!
